Simplifying Life with HEB Curbside Delivery

I can't think of any Texan who wouldn't benefit from the convenience of HEB Curbside. Read on to find out how this invaluable service makes grocery shopping a whole lot easier and better.

When my girls were both babies, I vividly recall picking up a prescription from a pharmacy drive-through window and musing to myself...Wouldn't it be amazing if there were some sort of convenient pick-up option for ALL of my grocery and household needs? Some magical way to get everything I need without having to leave my car?

If only I'd known that in a few short years, that magical service would be available, and it would be every bit as life altering as I'd imagined in my sleep-deprived, trying-to-maintain-my-cool-while-the-kids-wailed-from-their-carseats haze back then.

It's called HEB Curbside, and it's awesome.

Nowadays, I no longer have to worry about wrangling babies or toddlers through a busy grocery store, but I do have plenty of other things going on. I am currently trying to juggle mom life, kids' activities, and working from home, as well as dealing with the reconstruction of our house after it flooded during Harvey. Curbside grocery pick-up is exactly what I need in order to keep my sanity, and keep us stocked with good food.

Ever since moving to Texas, I've been a huge fan of HEB. The store has an amazing selection, and I go there for our daily basics, as well as specialty items that I can't find anywhere else (hello, Bare Bread!).

My love for HEB grew even deeper when I saw how they pitched to help out the residents during and after Hurricane Harvey. Not only did they donate large amounts of money, but they continually delivered truckloads of supplies to hurricane victims throughout Texas. Seeing that kind of "boots on the ground" effort from H-E-B raised my opinion of the company even higher.

When I have the time, I genuinely enjoy taking my time shopping HEB, perusing the aisles, checking out (and sampling) new products, sniffing produce, and even poking around the gorgeous floral / home decor area.

But there are so many times when I just need to grab and go, and I can't deal with a busy parking lot, or those people who leave their cart parked sideways in the middle of an aisle while they obliviously assess the salsa section. I mean...COME ON, PEOPLE!!

Set up an account
Schedule a pick-up time
Then start shopping!

I like to schedule my curbside grocery pick-ups to coincide with other errands or activities. Since our H-E-B is located on the way home from the soccer field where my daughter plays, I can time things just perfectly to pick up my order on our way home after practice or a game.

You just pull into a designated Curbside spot during your 30 minute pick-up window, send a text to the number posted in front of the parking spot, and wait for your personal shopper to load the groceries into your car. It's that simple.

Another thing that's great about HEB Curbside grocery shopping is the "Ways to Shop" feature.

This feature allows me re-buy my frequently-purchased items, so that I don't need to reinvent the wheel each time I place an order. For deal-seekers, it's a fantastic way to seek out things that are on sale. I also like to use the filters to find local produce, so I know what's in season in Texas.
